Streamer University 2026: the class, the faculty, and the gear
Kai Cenat announced the Class of 2026 live on his July 6 comeback stream: 120 students picked from in-person tryouts in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, taught by a faculty that runs from Pokimane to Lizzo to T-Pain. The session ran July 15 to 20. Here is the confirmed roster, and the setups to study if it makes you want to go live yourself.

How the class was picked
- · The Atlanta tryouts drew crowds so large the event was moved to State Farm Arena after surges and seven arrests across two days.
- · FunnyMike, cut from the roster, dropped a diss track. DDG piled on, Kai gave him 48 hours to take it down on stream, and DDG ended up applying to Soulja Boy’s rival "Rapper University" instead.
- · JasonTheWeen hit the floor on the reveal stream when his acceptance was read out.

The 2026 class was selected at in-person tryouts, but every one of these creators got noticed by streaming first. The entry bar is lower than the gear tours suggest: Jynxzi reached ten million followers on a USB mic and a webcam. Pick how you would stream and the configurator prices the whole setup with the stream quality it can hold.
Bringing a cameraman? You need a mobile rig
Streamer University still runs a cameraman system: students can request one, approvals are case by case, travel is not covered, and cameramen are banned from making their own content during the event. If that is you, the rig is an IRL backpack: camera into an encoder, bonded data that survives a crowd of thousands, and a relay so a dropped connection is a BRB screen instead of a dead stream.
