Who runs this site

What we collect

• Your email address, only if you type it into the newsletter form or the Relay waitlist form. Stored with the name of the form you used, the date and time, and the two-letter country code Cloudflare reports for the request. No name and no password. Your IP address is not stored next to it; it is counted on its own for ten minutes to cap how many times one address can post, then it expires.
• Ideas you submit on the roadmap page: the text of the idea, an email address if you choose to add one, the date and time, and the same country code.
• Usage analytics through Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, outbound clicks on buy links, newsletter signups, the referring site, and any utm campaign parameters in the link you arrived on. This is measurement of traffic, not identification of a person.
• Server logs kept by Cloudflare, our host, for delivery and abuse prevention. We do not build profiles from them.

There are no accounts on this site, no payments are taken here, and no advertising network runs on any page.

What stays in your browser

Saved builds, your configurator view preference, and campaign parameters are stored in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us. Clearing your site data deletes them permanently, including any build you saved.

Affiliate links

Buy links carry a tag that identifies us as the referrer. When you follow one, the retailer, most often Amazon, sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy to what happens on its site. We receive commission reports from those programs, which show totals and product categories, not who bought what. See the affiliate disclosure.

Who we share it with

Nobody buys this data and we do not sell or rent it. Email addresses sit in Cloudflare Workers KV storage. Analytics events go to Google. If we later move the email list to a mailing provider, this page will name that provider before the first message goes out.

How long we keep it

Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove yours. Ideas are kept while the roadmap they feed is live. Analytics data follows Google Analytics retention, currently 14 months.

Your choices

• Email [email protected] to see, correct, or delete anything we hold on you. We answer within 30 days.
• Residents of the EU, the UK, and California have rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to object to processing. The same email address handles all of them.
• Block analytics with any browser content blocker, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works with analytics blocked.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a child has submitted an email address, write to us and it will be deleted.

Changes are published on this page with a new date at the top. See also the terms of use.
